Questions and Answers
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about protective spaces
How Large Is the Shelter?
The shelter size is designed individually according to the number of occupants, duration of stay and required standard of facilities. It can include not only essential living and technical rooms, but also wellness and fitness areas, a shooting range, cinema, medical suite and specialised spaces. We deliver solutions ranging from smaller shelters of approximately 40 m² to large private complexes exceeding 1,000 m².
Where Can a Shelter Be Built?
We build shelters on private plots, alongside family homes, country houses and recreational properties, adjacent to existing properties or as part of a new build.
How Long Does Delivery Take?
The delivery period varies according to the scope of the project and the client’s specific requirements. As a guide, it typically ranges from approximately 4 to 12 months.
Do I Need Planning Permission?
The permitting process for this type of project is specific. However, we arrange all required steps as part of project preparation – from design and engineering through to preparing the documentation required for the permitting process.
Do Your Structures Meet the Relevant Technical Standards and Requirements?
Technical standards and regulatory requirements are an integral part of every project. We design and deliver all our protective structures in accordance with the relevant technical procedures, with an emphasis on quality, functionality and long-term reliability.
Our solutions comply with ČSN 73 9010 – Design and Construction of Civil Protection Structures.
What Shelter Technology Is Included?
The shelter includes air filtration and ventilation systems, water filtration, backup power sources, a decontamination area, security doors and components, communications equipment and further technology according to the required level of protection and self-sufficiency.
How Is Self-Sufficiency Addressed During a Power Outage or Emergency?
Self-sufficiency is ensured through a combination of backup power sources, air and water technology, storage capacity and a carefully considered operational solution.
Is the Solution Discreet?
Discretion is essential for this type of project. We place emphasis on client privacy, sensitive integration into the project and secure solutions for access and technical facilities.
How Are Shelter Servicing and Subsequent Maintenance Handled?
Servicing and maintenance are important to the long-term functionality of the entire shelter. We provide support after completion, including technology servicing and inspections of selected systems. Routine maintenance is carried out once a year for smaller shelters and twice a year for larger shelters.
